No Excuses

When I first decided to pursue creating a Non-Profit, I was overwhelmed with the task. There were by far more questions than answers, all with difficulty that varied from what color to make a background to who can do my taxes? Faced with a finish line that looked so distant, I realized that being frozen in motion by what I didn't know or think I could accomplish never brought me closer to any of my goals.
Then for whatever reason something clicked. I thought one step better than none, No Excuses. Even taking the time to google simple ideas or amass tasks to a list was one less thing to be done and a mental inch close
r to what I knew I was capable of. Of course there were voices of doubt. The possibility of failure surrounds us with the risk thereof in anything new, but the solace there is Failure Is Not Final.
Giving up is telling yourself no before anyone else even gets the chance. The easiest road traveled will take you where everyone else is, but never take you to success. Easy is the tour road that views accomplishment from afar, out of reach. That's why it's so easy to judge each other.
From the distance of easy, we don't have the vision to see how long the road to get there was, or how tired we are from getting there. Those that judge, only see a figure of a person standing where they wish that they could be and wonder why you didn't take the bus.
When you look at where you take yourself, your inner voice is driving you. What does that voice sound like? If it was a different person than you, would you trust them to stay in your house or watch your kids? What do you call yourself in the mirror, other than friend? We all have potential inside of ourselves, and together we can strive to build each other better, little by little, day by day. Its ok to need help, its more respectable to ask for it even if it slashes at your pride. I believe in you because I believe in myself.
Excuses are the pardons we give ourselves, repentance is the wisdom to call it a mistake and true wisdom is not being taken for a ride.
